Since its foundation the idealistic (that is to say, the non-monetary) aspect of its work is of central importance to KAAD. This means, above all, that we focus on inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogues at the university- and the parish-levels and on establishing lasting relationships to partner churches. Scholarship holders and alumni shall form the bridge between KAAD and its partners around the world.

Scholarship holders participate actively in the ‘Educational committee’. Representatives of the different regional and continental groups are elected every year. They present suggestions (e.g. seminar topics) and establish jointly with other members of the commission the annual educational program of KAAD. The Educational Committee (representatives of the KAAD office, the Spiritual Counselors, the President and student representatives) meets once a year.
