Studies in Islamic Studies, Political Science and Philosophy in Bamberg and Cairo. Subsequently, doctorate at the University of Zurich with a thesis on the history of Islamic theology with funding from the Cusanuswerk. Several research stays in Egypt at al-Azhar University. Coordination of a scholarship project for the Jesuit community Loyola Hall in Lahore (Pakistan) to support interreligious dialogue.
Assistant at the University of Bern from 2009 to 2014 and at Aarhus University for the spring semester of 2015. In the winter semester 2015/16 guest lecturer and up to and including the winter semester 2020/21 assistant lecturer at the Free University of Berlin. Since 2016, scientific advisor at the Catholic Academy in Berlin with activities in the areas of Islam, Middle East, reconciliation work and Christian-Muslim dialogue. Organization of study trips to Yemen, Bosnia, Cairo, Georgia and Sweden. Generalsekretärin des KAAD.
