War news dominates social media, and people all over the world are forced to leave their homes due to persecution or hunger. Governments are slow to tackle climate change - too slow, say many. Political instability, economic crises and personal wounds characterise reality and its perception.
What is going to happen given this global situation? What does that mean for me, my family, friends and colleagues? Experiences of uncertainty are unsettling. At the same time, situations we cannot grasp also offer opportunities for surprising new things. The Bible tells many stories of how people draw new hope from experiences of irritation - by trusting in other people and God.
The spiritual days differ compared to most KAAD seminars: above all, we will focus on God and ourselves. There will be short spiritual and biblical impulses that we will reflect on. Our creativity (e.g. painting) is also encouraged. There will be time for walking and meditation. Personal discussions in pairs or groups will round off the programme.
Our daily programme will be based on the rhythm of life and prayer of the Benedictine monks of Beuron Monastery in the beautiful Danube landscape.
