The seminar brought together different perspectives from various countries in the Middle East and opened up a space for exchange, reflection and shared orientation on issues of reconstruction and social renewal.

KAAD's official visit to Egypt

A delegation from the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart met on April 24, 2023 in Beirut with KAAD alumni who were sponsored with funds from the diocese.

The continuation of the scholarship programme to support refugee students in the Middle East was approved by the Katholische Zentralstelle für Entwicklungshilfe e. V. (KZE) and thus enters its third funding phase (until 2026).

The seminar “Mental Health – in general and intercultural: Psychosocial consequences of the pandemic and how to overcome them” took place in Bonn from 01 to 04 November 2022.

From 16 to 19 August, the seminar “Education in the Middle East – current situation and future prospects” took place in Odenthal, organised by Nils Fischer and Santra Sontowski from the Middle East Department.

KAAD has been supporting students from Syria in their studies in Germany for 60 years – and since there have been defined partner countries in KAAD, a special focus of support and exchange has been on Syria.
