Studied Social Work at Munich University of Applied Sciences with a focus on Intercultural Social Work. Subsequently earned an MA in Sustainable Development at the RCSD, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, with a focus on social movements in the context of development projects.
PhD in International Development from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Research focuses on transnational social movements, transcultural competence, and social space. Has taught political science in the United Kingdom and conducted capacity-building work in Thailand and Myanmar.
