Since April 2025, Dr. Mirjam Rossa has headed the Latin America Division at the Catholic Academic Exchange Service (KAAD). Prior to that, she worked at the Cusanuswerk since 2015, serving, among other roles, as deputy division head and program director for the career advancement program for women run by German organizations for the promotion of gifted students. Her focus there was on strategic program development, network management, and the design and facilitation of educational events.
She earned her Ph.D. in economics from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (WFI-Ingolstadt School of Management), focusing on profit-nonprofit collaborations, corporate volunteering, and leadership development.
Study and research stays took her to Santa Clara University (USA), the University of Porto (Portugal), and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, among others. She is a trained intercultural trainer and a certified psychological first responder. She was awarded the Federal Foreign Office Prize for her work with the counseling center for international students at the University of Munich, which she oversaw. In addition to German and English, she speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French, and (increasingly) Italian.
