Studied Catholic theology at the Universities of Bonn (Dipl. Theol.) and Fribourg, Switzerland (Dr. theol.), as well as philosophy and Spanish at the University of Cologne (M.A.); entered the Dominican Order in 1982, ordained a priest in 1992.

Other activities include:
Editor-in-Chief of the theological journal “Wort und Antwort,” editor of several academic series, lecturer at the University of Potsdam, Study Regent of the Dominican Province of Teutonia, and involvement with the association “ProBrasil – Martim de Lima Sao Paulo e.V.” in Düsseldorf.

Publications and studies on philosophical-theological issues, including research focusing on social transformation processes in Germany and Europe, social ethics and political ethics, and the colonial history of Latin America.

He lives in Berlin.
