1990–1997: Studied translation and interpreting at Heidelberg University, specializing in Russian, French, and law. Graduated with a degree in translation.
Worked for several years as a translator and administrative assistant in the Office for City Partnerships and International Relations of the Science City Darmstadt.
2006: Distance learning program in English translation at the Institute of Linguists, London. Degree: Diploma in Translation.
2008–2018: Worked as a freelance translator for English, French, and Russian.
Since January 2019: Secretary in the Africa Department at KAAD.
