Ana María Bonet 's academic interests are focussed on formal legal issues in the areas of public health management and environmental law. During her KAAD-funded Master's degree in law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , she performed so excellently that she immediately went on to complete a doctorate at the University of Bremen on the topic of "The democratisation of knowledge: collisions between the right to food and industrial property protection in biotechnology", which was also funded by the KAAD. After successfully completing this project, she returned to Argentina in 2015. Since then, as a lecturer at the Catholic University of Santa Fe , she has focussed on the qualitative development of teaching and remains true to the basic concern of her dissertation: safeguarding democratic principles and human rights in the field of global resource management. She also works as a researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research in Argentina (CONICET).
Ana María Bonet sees one goal of her work in long-term and sustainable cooperation with other KAAD alumni in Latin America, particularly in the areas of "equitable access to natural resources" and the preservation of creation. The experiences associated with the KAAD scholarship have strengthened her awareness that the KAAD community can make a difference across national borders.
She played a leading role in setting up the alumni groups "Peace and Justice", "Global Health" and "Integral Ecology" and has produced numerous publications, also in collaboration with other KAAD alumni. She is an integrative figure in our Latin American network who is committed to making knowledge accessible.
